Do you think God wants us to be sure of our Salvation?
If this question is of concern to you, you might already be showing that you belong to God.
The proud, the self-assured, the Pharisees and all religious people have no such concerns….
Why do you think all the “fear not” verses are in the Scriptures?
“Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.                                                              Luke 12:32
You can be just as sure of your Salvation as you are sure that God is real!
I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life.        1 John 5:13
And this is eternal life that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.                                    John 17:3

TO ME THERE ARE 4 PROOFS SO THAT YOU CAN BE SURE OF YOUR SALVATION.
 1. That you have God’s Holy Spirit. It is the proof that God has done something to you; that you are a new Creation, that there is something different about you than the rest of the world because you have a piece of God in you; the Holy Spirit!
2. That you have received Faith! You are of the same kind of faith that our father Abraham has. The key is that you have Faith, not how much or how little. If you have faith the size of a mustard seed you can move mountains. Without faith it is impossible to please God.
3. You are bearing the fruits of the Spirit.
4. You have a real, personal two way relationship with your Heavenly Father.

Verses for; 1. HAVING RECEIVED GOD’S HOLY SPIRIT
In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guaranteed of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.                                                Ephesians 1:13&14
For while we are still in this tent, we groan, being burdened—not that we would be unclothed, but that we would be further clothed, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.         2 Cor 5:4&5
And it is God who establishes us with you in Christ, and has anointed us, and who has also put his seal on us and given us his Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.                       2 Corinthians 1:21&22
Whoever keeps his commandments abides in God and God in him. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit whom he has given us.                                                             1 John 3:24
And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.                                                                                                                                               Ephesians 4:30
I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleannesses, & from all your idols I will cleanse you. And I will give you a new heart, & a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules.       Eze 36:25-27
not by works in righteousness which we had done, but according to His mercy, He saved us through the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,                                     Titus 3:5
Verses for; 2. HAVING RECEIVED FAITH!
For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned.                                                                                                                  Romans 12:3
And when the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord, and as many as were appointed to eternal life believed.                                                                 Acts 13:48
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.         Hebrews 11:1
So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.                         Romans 10:17
For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness.”                                                                                                                  Romans 4:4
for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith.                                             Galatians 3:26
Obtaining the end of your faith, the salvation of your souls.                                                1 Peter 1:9
Verses for; 3. BEARING THE FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.                                                    Galatians 5:22&23
I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.                                                                          John 15:5
So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit.                                            Matthew 7:17&18
What was sown on good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands it. He indeed bears fruit and yields, in one case a 100 fold, in another sixty, and in another thirty.” Matthew 13:23
Verses for; 4. HAVING A REAL TWO WAY RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD OUR FATHER
Remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ                                                                                                                                           Ephesians 2:12&13
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.                                          John 10:27&28
To him the gatekeeper opens. The sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified.                                  John 10:3/Romans 8:30
Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.                                                                                          1 Peter 2:10
And you, who once were alienated and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds, he has now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before him, if indeed you continue in the faith, stable and steadfast, not shifting from the hope of the gospel                                                                                                                     Colossians 1:21-23
But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.
                                                                                                                                        John 1:12&13
YOU CAN HAVE ASSURANCE OF SALVATION IF;
If God is revealing himself to you
If you want to know God, who he is
If you know that God has done something to you, there is just no other explanation for the change in you
If you have at least some of the fruits of the Spirit
If you have an earnest desire for God, His word, his people and the unsaved
If you have a desire to please God
If you desire to be with him in Heaven more than all the earthly stuff (Hebrews 11:16 But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one.)
If you are being thankful to God for sending Jesus to die in your place
If you are thankful
If you marvel at how such a great God can have anything to do with an awful sinner like you
If seeking first God’s kingdom and his righteousness becomes you more and more
If you rather be in the company of other Believers than the world
If you marvel at God’s word/have a desire to read/understand God’s word
If you are becoming less and less concerned about you and more and more concerned about your heavenly Father and what’s important to him
If your attitude toward sin is changing from “everyone sins towards sin offends my heavenly Father, I do not want to offend the one who loves me and gave himself for me”
IF YOU HAVE A PERSONAL, TWO WAY RELATIONSHIP WITH OUR GOD.
When you read the Bible, do you look at it as if it is talking to you?
If being in Heaven means more to you than this world/this life?
If you are you seeking first his kingdom and his righteousness.
If your hope in God
If the B attitudes in Matthew 5, the sermon on the mount start to describe you
If Do you have a treasure in this earthen vessel of yours
If you do you see yourself as a servant, if you are here to serve
1. Who is God to you?
A) A tyrant who demands all sort of things
B) A loving Father looking out for what’s best for you?
2. Are you one of God’s sheep? Is God calling you personally?
If you can answer with a YES, you can have assurance of Salvation
“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new Creation” Well, are you a new Creation?
“If you have been raised with Christ” Well, have you been raised with Christ?
“Christ in you, the hope of Glory” well, is Christ in you?
Salvation equals life; do you have life, the life of God in you?

WHAT CAUSES DOUBTS ABOUT OUR SALVATION?
#1 the devil whispering lies. Remember in the Garden of Eden; did God really say that? Sowing doubts
#2 Doubts about yourself and feelings of unworthiness
#3 committing sins, continues falling into sin or into the same sins

A WORD TO THE FAINT OF HEART, WEAK AND ALL THE DOUBTING THOMAS’S…
A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not quench, until he brings justice to victory; and in his name the Gentiles will hope.”                                  Matthew 12:20&21/Isaiah 42:3
Jesus said; Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”                                                          Matthew 11:28-30
Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.                     Psalms 37:4
And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.                                                                                                                                                   Philippians 4:19
He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it.                                                  1 Thessalonians 5:24
The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.                               2 Peter 3:9
    SALVATION, THE GIFT OF GOD!
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.                                                                                                                                                       Romans 6:23
But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if many died through one man’s trespass, much more have the grace of God and the free gift by the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for many. And the free gift is not like the result of that one man’s sin. For the judgment following one trespass brought condemnation, but the free gift following many trespasses brought justification.                                                                                                                                        Romans 5:15&16
For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.                                                      Romans 11:29
This makes Jesus the guarantor of a better covenant.                                                   Hebrews 7:22
and there is salvation in no other One, for neither is there any other name under Heaven having been given among men by which we must be saved.                                                            Acts 4:12
because God has not appointed us to wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,                                                                                                                                 1 Thess 5:9
But we ought to thank God always concerning you, brothers, beloved by the Lord, because God chose you from the beginning to salvation in sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth,
                                                                                                                            2 Thessalonians 2:13
