God's Creation
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth;                                         Genesis 1:1
And God saw everything that He had made and behold, it was very good.             Genesis 1:31
And God formed the man out of dust from the ground, and blew into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. And God planted a garden in Eden to the east; and He put the man whom He had formed there.                                                                              Genesis 2:7&8
And God commanded the man, saying, Eating you may eat of every tree in the garden; but of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil you may not eat, for in the day that you eat of it, dying you shall die.                                                                                                          Genesis 2:16&17
And God said, It is not good, the man being alone. I will make a helper suited to him. And God caused a deep sleep to fall on the man, and he slept. And He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh underneath. And God formed the rib which He had taken from the man into a woman, and brought her to the man.                                                                              Genesis 2:18, 22-23

So far we see that God created everything; the heavens and the earth and everything on it. He created Adam and Eve and put them in the garden of Eden and set up life for them in fellowship with him. Only one commandment he gave them; they were not allowed to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If they ate from that tree, in that day they would die. Life was beautiful, peaceful, joyful, easy. But as you now will see in Genesis 3 all that changed;
And the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and the tree was desirable to make one wise. And she took of its fruit and ate; and she also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. And the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked. And they sewed leaves of the fig tree, and made girdles for themselves. And they heard the sound of God walking up and down in the garden at the breeze of the day. And the man and his wife hid themselves from the face of God in the middle of the trees of the garden.
                                                                                                                                       Genesis 3:6-8
Sin entered the world through one man (Adam), and death through sin, so also death passed to all men (us), inasmuch as all sinned. Therefore through one deviation (Adam) it was toward all men (us) to condemnation,  For as through the one man's disobedience the many were constituted sinners.    Romans 5:12, parts of 18&19
For just as by Adam all people die, .....                                                                                  1 Corinthians 15:22
......the futile ways inherited from your forefathers ....                                                                      1 Peter 1:18

Do you understand what happened in the garden of Eden? Do you understand the consequences Adam's actions had for him and for all of us? Do you understand why?
Adam messed it up for all of us!
But then we completed the mess by sinning ourselves......
