Hebrews 12 : 2
Looking to the Author and Finisher of our Faith, JESUS, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
This is one of my favorite scriptures in the New Testament. It sums up Titus 2:11+12 and Luke 9:23
Let me explain how ;

it is all in the word LOOKING TO.
This is instructions for us Christians; telling us to be LOOKING TO...
Now isn't that simple? You don't have to do somersaults or lift 500 pound weights.... just simply LOOK TO!
Remember, the New Testament was originally written in Greek, so what we read is a translation, therefore looking at the Greek word the New Testament uses for LOOKING TO is  aphorao ( #872 in strong's dictionary).
Thayer's Greek dictionary definition; TO TURN THE EYES AWAY FROM OTHER THINGS AND FIX THEM ON SOMETHING.
And this is the only scripture in the New Testament that uses that Greek word aphorao #872 .
to be continued...
